Difference Between Operator Performance And Operator Rating
The term "Standard Hours Earned" (SAH) is not
often used in the garments industry. People of the garments industry use
"Standard Minutes Produced" or "Standard Minutes Earned." Instead
of "Standard Hours Earned". But they have no difference actually as
mathematical calculation.
We know that,
Produced Minutes or Earn Minutes = SAM of Operation × Total
Piece Produced of that Operation
Just if we divide the above expression by 60, it will be directly converted to "Standard Hours Earned" or SAH.
Just if we divide the above expression by 60, it will be directly converted to "Standard Hours Earned" or SAH.
Let's say
an operator produces 120 garment parts which SAM is 0.35.
Then Produced Minutes or Earn Minutes = 0.35 × 120 = 42.
If we divide 42 by 60, it will be converted to "Standard Hours Earned" or SAH.
The
benefit of using Standard Earned Hours
If we divide 42 by 60, it will be converted to "Standard Hours Earned" or SAH.
That mean SAH of that operation is = 42/60 = 0.7
So finally, the formula for "Standard Hours Earned" or SAH = (SAM of Operation × Total Piece Produce)/60
So finally, the formula for "Standard Hours Earned" or SAH = (SAM of Operation × Total Piece Produce)/60
It is simple to compare the number of hours generated
against the number of hours available in a day.
Knowing the Standard Earned Hours of the operators makes figuring out their hourly wage (in dollars) straightforward.
