Manpower Requirement Calculation in Finishing Section
The
finishing department comes last in the garments production process. The final
phase of the clothing manufacturing department plays a vital role in the
garments industry. In this article, we will discuss manpower requirements in
the finishing section. The following stages must be followed to establish the
number of people required in the finishing section.
To determine manpower requirements

Do Time Study of All Activities
Carry out a capacity analysis of
your finishing room workers for each type of work. After studying, we can
easily understand what process needs how much time. That means we will find the
individual worker daily capacity.
Find Out Target Production
As per company capacity and
production, we have to set how many finishing pieces need per day.
Calculate Manpower Requirements in
Finishing Section
By the following formula, we can calculate Manpower Requirements in Finishing Section.
Manpower Required in a Finishing Process = Daily Target Quantity/ Worker Daily capacity
Let's say for a process,
Daily Target = 3000 Pcs.
Worker capacity of that process = 800
Then,
Manpower Required in That Process = 3000/800 = 3.75 ~ 4
If we currently have 2 operators, we need more 4-2 = 2 operators for that process.
Manpower Required in a Finishing Process = Daily Target Quantity/ Worker Daily capacity
Let's say for a process,
Daily Target = 3000 Pcs.
Worker capacity of that process = 800
Then,
Manpower Required in That Process = 3000/800 = 3.75 ~ 4
