What is Line Planning?

Line Planning is the sequencing, scheduling and allocation of orders to the sewing line according to product category and shipment date. 

From a best line planning we get the following information-

✔ Orders loading date

✔ Number of line is allocated for a particular order

✔ Number of days required to complete an order

✔ Daily line target

✔ The next order to be run after a particular order

✔ Order unloading date

Benefits of Line Planning

✔ Line plan helps all production-related employee with information such as what will be the next order and target for all of in-hand orders.
